The song reimagines Shawty Lo’s 2008 hit “Dey Know” with a reggae and dancehall influence, transforming the Atlanta rap classic into a track geared toward Jamaican dancefloors. The accompanying video, directed by Cam Hicks, embraces dancehall culture by centering on a lively party atmosphere filled with dancers and energetic movement rather than a traditional performance-focused concept.

Lyrically, “Hello” celebrates friendship, nightlife, and weekend vibes. Masego’s chorus highlights being outside with friends, socializing, and enjoying the moment, while Buju Banton’s presence adds authentic reggae flavor to the record.

The result is a cross-cultural fusion that blends Atlanta hip-hop nostalgia with contemporary Jamaican dancehall energy.
